"...that is not required and it's they suggest just for it to be painted, along the edges," staff said when describing options for detectable warning surfaces in the historic area. Staff advised checking the ramp slope to ensure it does not exceed allowable gradients and recommended painting edges where installing tactile strips might conflict with historic preservation.
Council asked staff to follow up with specifics on the ramp slope and any adjustments needed; staff will report back with measurements and recommendations.
