A council member moved to adopt the policy as presented; another member seconded the motion and the council approved the policy by roll call.
The policy requires timely receipts and documentation, security and fraud-prevention measures, monthly auditing and annual staff training, and competitive quotes for larger purchases. The council discussed that the proposed $500 per-transaction threshold could be adjusted in future reviews.
