Water and wastewater reports: Elkhart supplied over 302 million gallons in June; wet-weather overflows increased in June

Matt Hogerby, Public Works and Utilities, told the board the water utility supplied "a little over 302,000,000 gallons of water to the system" for June and that water-quality measures (iron, manganese, fluoride, chlorine and orthophosphate) were within permit limits. He also summarized wastewater reporting for May and June and said permit limits were being met.
Hogerby said May had an average daily flow near 16,000,000 gallons and June averaged a little over 15,000,000 gallons per day; June was wetter with about 145 wet-weather overflow events discharging roughly 32,000,000 gallons, as reported to the board. He also told members the mobile dewatering belt press is performing strongly, replacing the equivalent output of two permanent presses during the trial period.
