TDOT seeks multidisciplinary teams, quick mobilization and embedded consultants

TDOT staff told attendees that the department expects proposers to present multidisciplinary teams and strong project management capabilities. Agency official said TDOT looks for project managers who can manage scope, schedule, budget and risk and for teams able to mobilize quickly when work orders arise.
"We're looking for a multi multidisciplinary teams here ... The project management experience, and that expertise," the Agency official said, adding that TDOT currently has embedded consultants who manage active projects and that roughly 30% of his staff's workload involves embedded consultant support. He urged firms to demonstrate problem-solving, quality management and the ability to function like a TDOT employee when embedded on projects.
