The district said it received 20 applications for the vacancy, interviewed three candidates and convened an eight-person committee (three administrators and five teachers) that unanimously recommended Myers.
Myers introduced herself to the board and described her education and experience, including a master’s degree in elementary education from Ball State and administrative licensure through Purdue. "I'm excited to be here at Oak Hill," Myers said, thanking board members for the opportunity. District staff framed the selection as the result of a competitive pool and a unanimous committee decision.
Next steps: Myers is expected to assume the principal duties on 07/23/2026, per the recommendation presented to the board during the special session.
