The committee reviewed several non-departmental account (NDA) items tied to existing contracts. Staff explained an increase of roughly $1.1 million for device client management (DCM) tied to price increases already set in contracts that began in August 2024 and extend for five years. The recommendation was to approve the executive’s NDA funding to cover those increases.
On telecommunications NDAs, TEBS staff said the county is transitioning toward a software-defined telephony environment and expects cost savings once migration to Teams Phone is complete. Committee members noted prior cuts to this program in earlier years and expressed appreciation for TEBS’s work to stabilize services while migration proceeds.
