TEBS staff told the committee the county plans to launch its new content management system on April 20 and that the department is using an AI remediation tool to address large volumes of PDF accessibility issues. Web staff said they began department training on April 2 and have provided daily office hours to support remediation efforts.
Ms. Roper told council members the remediation effort covers both web pages and PDFs and that the compliance deadline for remediation is April 24. She noted that while the county is striving to be fully compliant, many jurisdictions and stakeholders expect it may be difficult to reach 100% completeness by that date; departments are prioritizing public-facing content and using automation to reduce manual workloads.
