The Government Operations and Fiscal Policy Committee reviewed the Technology and Enterprise Business Solutions (TEBS) proposed FY27 operating budget, which the committee was told totals $72,221,974 under the County Executive’s recommendation. Chair opened the meeting and asked TEBS leadership to introduce staff and walk through the packet; Dr. Torregas summarized the packet and noted the recommended reduction of roughly 1.0 percentage point from the prior year to arrive at the $72.2 million figure.
Dr. Torregas also called attention to TEBS’s Operating Budget Equity Tool (OBIT) analysis, saying TEBS “has received an excellent mark of 9 points,” a point offered as evidence of the department’s ongoing equity work. Committee discussion focused on which TEBS items should go on the reconciliation list for council consideration, including add items, contract adjustments, and CIP-related items for the FY27–32 CIP program. The Chair later called and received a unanimous vote to add the TEBS reconciliation items to the reconciliation list.
