The Canton Public School District Board approved consent agenda items 11.1—6 at the Jan. 14 meeting. The approved items include agreements for instructional coaching and student pullouts across grade spans and subjects (J&G Consulting for secondary math, Kids First for secondary ELA and science, Kirkland Group for elementary math and science, Greene Education for elementary ELA), the district's 2024—2025 Test Security Plan and Corrective Action Plan, and a Canton Career Center equipment purchase from Southern Equipment Systems, Inc. not to exceed $16,000.
The board also approved travel for Michael Ellis, Kari Johnson and Alisha Davis to attend the National Career Academy Coalition onsite study visit in Louisville, Ky., on Feb. 25—26, 2025, noting the district will reimburse two attendees. The motion to approve items 11.1—6 was made by Mr. Glen Lacey and seconded by Mr. Peter Brown; recorded votes were unanimous Aye.
