Cache school board approves millions in purchase orders and bond fund encumbrances

The approved items included SY26 General Fund purchase orders #1–197 totaling $3,069,765; SY26 2017 Building Bond Fund PO #1–3 totaling $3,709,250; SY26 Building Fund PO #1–44 totaling $1,319,000; SY26 Child Nutrition PO #1–30 totaling $1,066,900; and several SY25 items and other bond or co-op funds. The board recorded the motion as passed 4-0. Board members present were Nolan Watson (President), Brad Seaton (Vice President), Dr. Brian Gladwell (Clerk) and Scott Messner (Member); Mitch Dorrell was absent.
Board discussion focused on approving encumbrances and payroll-related line items before the new fiscal year. There were no recorded objections during the vote; the board will proceed to implement the approved encumbrances according to existing procurement and accounting procedures.
