Board holds executive session on hiring, returns to open session and approves teacher lists and hires

The Cache Public Schools Board convened into executive session at 6:45 p.m. under 25 O.S. Section 307(B)(1) to discuss hiring returning temporary, probationary and career teachers and to consider specific new hires for the 2026-27 school year. The minutes list those present in the executive session as the five board members plus Tammie Reynolds and Chad Hance. The board returned to open session at 7:22 p.m.; Board President Brad Seaton stated no action was taken during the executive session.
After returning to open session the board voted to approve the attached lists of Temporary Teachers, Career Teachers and Probationary Teachers for 2026-27, each motion passing 5-0. The board then voted to approve individual temporary hires: Michelle Lutmer as Primary School Counselor; Mark Woomavovah as JROTC Lead Instructor; Jeremy Travis as an elementary teacher; Anthony Bowie as a high school special education teacher; Ashley McBee as a middle school teacher; Kristen Riddick as a third-grade elementary teacher; Kim Ellsworth as a first-grade elementary teacher; and Beaux Collins as an elementary music teacher. Each hire was approved by motion and passed 5-0 according to the minutes.
