Aaron Slattery, a city staff member, told the Cemetery Advisory Committee that the Blatt firm has proposed architectural services for a pavilion at Fairview Cemetery and that “the architectural fees from Blatt are $41,850.” Slattery said the city needs architectural drawings for the bid package as a requirement for the city’s contracting process and that he has contacted three other firms to obtain additional quotes.
Slattery described the planned building footprint as roughly 40 by 80 feet and said civil engineering is needed to finalize the site layout. He cautioned that the bulk of construction cost is likely to be the restroom facilities because capacity and wastewater flow will be determined by ODEQ lateral‑system rules. The committee did not vote on the project; Slattery said staff may call a special meeting once more cost estimates are received.
