The board approved a multi-item consent agenda covering donations, subscriptions, travel and program logistics. Two donation checks (#100211216 and #100211894) of $900 each from BankPlus were approved for the Canton Career Center. The board also approved renewal of Frontline Education subscriptions, travel authorizations for staff to attend conferences, and an Extended School Year schedule for June 4–26, 2025 (elementary in-person at McNeal Elementary, grades 10–12 at Canton High School and virtual options for grades 6–8).
Notable items included authorization for Canton High School to accept a $600 donation from Bruckner’s School Photography for Teacher Appreciation Week and board approval to purchase state championship and district championship jackets from Public Figure Clothing Brand not to exceed $15,000. An authorization for Endeavor IT to provide staff augmentation during testing (not to exceed $42,000) was also approved.
All consent items 11.1–11.18 were adopted on a motion by Mr. Glen Lacey and seconded by Mr. Peter Brown; votes were recorded as Aye for all trustees.
