Board approves athletics and facility spending; weight room and gym flooring to be replaced

The board approved several athletics and facilities items at the Aug. 26 meeting, including a gym flooring replacement and weight-room flooring paid from bond funds. Terry Graham moved approval of the gym flooring quote and April Kisling moved approval to use bond funds for weight-room flooring; both motions passed 5-0.
Trustees also approved a quote from Rieger Welding for a fitness-center overhang, and administration reported schedule adjustments that enable student-athletes to attend robotics during the school day. The district noted fundraising successes for athletics and that the golf tournament scheduled for Sept. 13 has 15 teams signed with three spots remaining.
