Bristow council hires new treasurer and police dispatcher

The Bristow City Council on Sept. 16 appointed Ashley Hinshaw as city treasurer at a rate of $18.00 per hour with a six-month probationary period and authorized updating city accounts to add Hinshaw and remove the previous account name. The council also approved hiring Jeannine Gevarets as a police dispatcher at $14.00 per hour with a six-month probation. Both actions followed executive-session consideration under 25 O.S. §307(B)(1).
Councilmember Judd Johns made the motions, which passed by unanimous roll call. The minutes record that the hires are effective the next pay period and that Ashley Hinshaw will be added to city accounts as part of the implementation steps.
