The Forest City Council adopted the city’s Comprehensive Development Plan on July 6, 2026, following a public hearing opened by Mayor Ron Holland at 7:04 PM and closed at 7:12 PM. John, a representative from NIACOG, presented the final plan to the Council; there were no public comments during the hearing.
The Council approved Resolution No. 26-27-02 on a motion by Councilmember Brad Buffington with a second from Councilmember Carly Carper. Roll call showed six votes in favor and one absence (Karl Wooldridge). The plan adoption is now the City’s official development policy document for future land-use and infrastructure planning.
