The Town of Carney Council on Aug. 8 unanimously approved the sale of a surplus 1995 Stewart & Stevenson M-1078 brush truck to the Medford Volunteer Fire Department for $55,000. Committee member Greg Wolfe moved to accept the bid, Mayor Darrel Gibbs seconded, and the motion carried with all present voting "Yea."
The action was taken as part of the council's consideration of the Fire Department report presented by Chief Robbie Clark.
