Carney council accepts police, fire, emergency management and administrator reports

The Town of Carney Board of Trustees accepted routine departmental reports during its Sept. 12, 2024 meeting. Assistant Chief Bo Gibbs appeared in the minutes as the presenter of the Police Department report; the council voted to accept the report on a motion by Mayor Darrel Gibbs, seconded by Constance Wallace, with recorded voting 'Yea: All, Opposed: None.'
Fire Chief Robbie Clark presented the Fire Department report and the council accepted it on a unanimous vote. The Emergency Management report was recorded in the agenda as given by Sarah Smith and accepted by the council; however, the minutes also contain language that appears to misattribute the Emergency Management report as 'given by Robbie Clark.' The minutes record the council's acceptance by motion (mover Darrel Gibbs, seconder Constance Wallace) with no opposition. Town Administrator Phillip Newlun presented the Town Administrator report, which the council likewise accepted by unanimous vote.
