The board approved a package of consent-agenda items on July 8, including a $900 donation check from BankPlus to the Canton Career Center (Exhibit 11.1), an athletic/activities medical insurance policy through Team Assure not to exceed $10,000 (Exhibit 11.2), the Student/Parent Handbook and Employee Handbook for 2025–26, repair work by Lighthouse Construction not to exceed $50,000 (Exhibit 11.6), carpet cleaning services by Moore’s Carpet Care Inc. not to exceed $27,000 (Exhibit 11.7), and cafeteria deep-cleaning services by The Monarch Facilities Management Group not to exceed $22,000 (Exhibit 11.9). A consolidated motion by Mr. Glen Lacey, seconded by Mr. Peter Brown, approved items 11.1–11.9 with the exception of 11.8.
Item 11.8 (revised FY26 athletic supplements) was later approved on a separate motion after Mr. Peter Brown briefly left the room; the second vote recorded Mr. Brown as absent and the remaining trustees voted to pass item 11.8. The minutes record the approvals and the recorded votes but offer no detail on the substance of the athletic supplement revisions.
