Board keeps district housing rent unchanged for FY26

The Burlington Public Schools Board voted unanimously Dec. 18 to leave district housing rental rates unchanged for fiscal year 2026. Robert Hill made the motion to keep rates the same; Lindsey Callison seconded and the motion passed with a 5-0 roll call.
Board members noted that all district houses are occupied and there have been "no issues lately," supporting the decision to maintain current rates. "All the houses are full, no issues lately," Superintendent Gerrett Spears reported during the discussion. The vote was recorded as Yea from Lindsey Callison, Callie Pray, Robert Hill, April Kisling and Terry Graham.
