Broken Arrow finance director outlines modest manual fee changes; sewer rates among the largest increases

Arnold said cemetery fees would increase about 2% and that impact fees charged to developers for park and recreation capital would rise 10% "because these fees have not been raised in many years," and that nonresident community-center rates would be raised across the board (family membership $45/month nonresident; individual $25/month; daily pass $5).
On utilities, Arnold told the council the proposal keeps most charges minimal but would raise sewer by 8%, water by 1.25% and add $1.50 to solid-waste service. She estimated the "average bill is going to go up only $5.96 on these proposed rates" using a 7,300-gallon consumption assumption used in prior years. Council members asked for a reported overall percentage increase and further breakdowns; Arnold said she could provide a consolidated percentage and more detail before the resolution is returned for adoption.
