Broken Arrow’s mayor read a proclamation declaring July 17–18, 2026, as Oklahoma PTA Days and commended the organization’s century-plus advocacy for students and families.
Wendy Hardwick, who identified herself as the state president of the Oklahoma PTA, told the council the group will hold its 104th annual convention on the NSU Broken Arrow campus and thanked local volunteers. “We are bringing in parents and educators from all over the state to celebrate our public schools and to train on how to better serve our students and families,” Hardwick said. Council members responded with thanks and encouragement; the mayor asked staff to bring a copy of the proclamation to the PTA office for presentation.
