Union City Borough Council on Sept. 16 approved an amendment to Zoning Ordinance 1118 that provides definitions and rules for permitted zones for redemption games (also described in the meeting as games of skill) and adds section 701.04 to allow certain accessory structures on adjoining lots.
Councilor Kerns moved and Councilor Steadman seconded approval of the amendment; the motion carried unanimously. Borough staff said the revision clarifies permitted commercial uses and accessory-structure provisions in the zoning code.
The ordinance amendment will be incorporated into the municipal zoning code and follow standard implementation procedures; staff did not provide an effective date at the meeting.
