Council sets new meeting schedule and agrees to assist UCVFD with shed demo
Summary
Union City Borough Council agreed to move meetings to the first and third Monday at 6:30 p.m. (Sept. 2024April 2025 schedule) and authorized Public Works to assist the UCVFD with demolishing a shed at 10 Market Street without using the borough backhoe.
Council discussed changing council meeting dates and agreed to meet on the first and third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. starting in September; the next meeting was set for Aug. 27, 2024 and, due to Labor Day, the following meeting will be Sept. 16, 2024.
Separately, the Union City Volunteer Fire Department requested use of a backhoe to demo a shed at 10 Market Street. Public Works Supervisor Bob Phillips said he would help with the demolition but not operate the backhoe; council agreed to provide Public Works assistance without the borough backhoe.
