The Mount Laurel Township Council unanimously approved a consent agenda that bundled resolutions 26‑R‑164 through 26‑R‑182, covering a wide range of administrative and operational items. Clerk Meredith summarized the packet before the vote, noting that several new labor contracts (for EMS, clerical staff and supervisors) would take effect next year and that a late addition—Resolution 1‑82—was a change order for improvements on Union Mill Road to Briggs Road.
"So everyone will be under contract, effective next year," Meredith said while reviewing the contracts portion of the consent agenda. The council then moved and seconded approval; recorded 'Aye' votes were taken and the consent agenda passed.
Other items on the consent list included Veteran deduction updates from the tax assessor; grant acceptances; cooperative purchasing authorizations; liens for property maintenance due to overgrown grass; a bond release recommended by the township engineer; yearly appointments of police chaplains; authorization to purchase under state contract; a cannabis retailer name change; and authorization for the planning board to conduct a preliminary redevelopment investigation. The late change order was flagged during roll call as added to the packet and was included in the approved package.
