Saltville formalizes police interview committee and reports recent hires

Public commenters had earlier questioned department size and salaries; during committee reports Chief Lynch described a revamped hiring process and said the committee would help standardize interviews. The council adopted the committee structure and directed the department and town manager to coordinate volunteer slots and scheduling for interviews after July 1.
