Strasburg council authorizes park improvements, radar sign and equipment purchases

At the Sept. 16 meeting the council authorized several small capital purchases and park improvements. A purchase of a leaf vacuum with a projected cost of $16,000 was approved contingent on Street Superintendent Matt Miller’s recommendation.
Mayor Bruce Metzger read a report from Village Administrator Mike Rosenberry outlining park work (pickleball court lighting completed, fence work, and removal of a tree to add soccer field space) and site improvements. The minutes record the council approved the cement cost (motion by Jeff Smith, seconded by Wes Hostetler), approved the radar sign purchase (motion by Kathy Burrier, seconded by Martin Zehnder), and approved the leaf vac purchase pending recommendation (motion recorded and approved).
