The Strasburg Village Council voted unanimously Aug. 5 to approve multiple emergency resolutions and several routine capital purchases. Council suspended the three-reading rule and approved Resolution 2025-29 allowing the purchase of a new ambulance "when a real and present emergency exists," Resolution 2025-27 to hire crossing guards, and Resolution 2025-28 to enter a design contract for a new community center.
Council also approved smaller infrastructure and park expenditures: a $4,000 fence for the soccer parking area, crosswalk painting and signage at 6th Street NW and Tiger Drive for $5,200, a $7,280 guardrail package for three locations, and a $1,204 canopy for the village zero-turn mower. All motions passed by roll call with council members recorded as voting in favor.
