Village awards Harwalk Road water/sewer contract for $273,425

Mayor Bruce Metzger reported the Harwalk Road water/sewer project was awarded to Red Malcuit Construction, Inc. for $273,425.00. The announcement was part of the village administrator’s report during the July 15 meeting.
The mayor also said OMNI has agreed to repair street and alley openings, sidewalks and driveways requiring concrete replacement related to work, and that AEP will replace and upgrade poles and equipment and trim trees and brush around power lines. Council did not debate the award at length and the procurement detail was presented as an administrative update.
