The council voted 5-0 to approve a letter supporting the inclusion of roughly 125 acres owned by the Green Family Trust and Carr Trust into the Price's Scrub/Carr Farm Florida Forever project. Town Manager Rickman presented the application packet and told council there would be no monetary obligation for the town.
"There is no monetary value to the Town," Rickman said when presenting the request. Councilors noted the addition would help protect regional green corridors, wildlife habitat and public access without direct town expense. The council authorized the mayor to sign the letter of support.
