McIntosh approves employment agreement for new town manager with edits

Vice President Ciotti proposed revising Section 7.B so that the town "employer would pay for term life insurance equal to the employee's base salary" rather than rounding to the next $100,000, a change councilors supported. The body also discussed the timing of the annual performance review: councilors agreed evaluations should align with the budget process so proposed merit increases can be included in the new fiscal-year budget.
Rickman confirmed an updated figure during the meeting: "It's 5.75%, not 4.75," noting the corrected percentage in the agreement. The council approved the agreement 5-0 with the stated edits and direction to complete performance reviews and include a proposed percentage for budget planning.
