Bristow council approves minutes, payroll and $18,750 engineering invoice

The Bristow City Council on Aug. 19 approved the minutes of its Aug. 5 meeting and a multi-item consent agenda that included payroll and claims totaling several hundred thousand dollars in combined payroll estimates and actuals.
Council approved unpaid claims of $1,733.92, paid claims of $36.00, Library State Aid of $30.00, actual payroll claims of $114,273.68 (pay period ending Aug. 16, 2024) and estimated payroll claims of $117,433.08 (pay period ending Aug. 30, 2024). The council also approved Claim #20123 to Holloway, Updike & Bellen, Inc. for $18,750.00 for engineering services for the Bristow Heartland Industrial Park, to be paid from an Oklahoma Department of Commerce grant. The motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Councilmember Judd Johns and seconded by Randy Witty; the roll call vote carried with one abstention recorded earlier on the minutes approval (Councilmember Jeryn Fletcher had abstained on the minutes vote).
