Council approves slate of appointments and reappointments to city boards

At its Aug. 5 meeting the Bristow City Council appointed and reappointed a substantial slate of residents to city boards and authorities. Appointments included Johnny Conkling Jr. (term to Jan. 2027) and Caleb Ritchie (term to Jan. 2028) and the reappointment of Garrison Infield (term to Jan. 2026) to the Planning and Zoning Board. The council also approved appointments and reappointments to the Board of Adjustment, Bristow Industrial Authority, Bristow Housing Authority, Personnel Board, Cemetery Board, Bristow Golf Board, and the Park Board; terms were recorded in the meeting minutes for each seat.
Votes on the appointments were taken by roll call and, unless otherwise noted in the minutes, passed with the affirmative votes of the councilmembers present. The Mayor additionally appointed Councilmember Heather Green to serve as the Mayor’s appointee to the Park, Recreation and Tourism Council Committee; Green abstained from that particular vote as recorded in the minutes. The approvals complete the council’s scheduled board staffing for the near term and set staggered terms for future turnover.
