The districts required 5% local match, Kiniry said, is $4,584.70; award notifications are expected in the fall or winter.
Kiniry presented the equipment need to commissioners during the June 18 meeting at the Spofford Fire Station and noted the request was sent on June 12. The grant covers both frontline gear and a designated RIT pack; if awarded, the purchase would address aging air-pack inventory and ensure compliance with departmental safety standards.
