Clerk Tonna Claussen will coordinate with the planning and zoning committee to identify necessary textual changes and proposed boundaries for new residential districts (R3/R4).
Board members discussed rezoning possibilities for part or all of the Three Bears area and adjacent streets — Blossom, Osprey, Harvest and Marsh — and outlined an approach that would keep recreational features (Paddle Boat, Waterslide, Overlook, Sandy Beach, Skatepark, Hilltop) in a single zone while potentially designating Cranfest, Blossom, Harvest, Marsh, Osprey, Sand Hill Crane and Blue Heron as R4. The agenda also referenced a possible change of the Game Craze apartments to R2. The board directed staff to identify grandfathered corner lots and to prepare statements for each zone before holding a public hearing.
Clerk Claussen said staff will define specific lot boundaries and present a draft plan at the March meeting. There was no formal vote on any rezoning at this session; the board agreed the next procedural step is public notices and a hearing once draft zones are ready.
