Mr. Fehr told the board that all paraprofessional (para) positions have been filled and that moving speech-therapy services in-house will save the district money by reducing the need for external contracts. He also said Student Services is exploring partnership work with the Ogallala Opportunity Center to develop independent-living and community-engagement programs for students with unique support needs.
Mr. Fehr added that funding for the Cedar Point Science/Art Camp was reinstated in early June and the director was rehired, enabling a group of 20 students to attend the camp this summer.
