The Ogallala School District Board on July 20 adopted a resolution allowing the district to use a base growth percentage up to six percent when determining property tax request authority for planning purposes. Board members said the change is a planning tool and does not require the district to use the entire 6% increase in its eventual tax request.
Tania Perlinger moved to adopt the resolution and Amanda Christensen seconded. The motion passed with votes in favor from Jim Korth, Amanda Christensen, Tim Ryan, Tania Perlinger and Doug Davis; Mary Wilson was absent. The board noted the resolution simply sets an allowable planning parameter for the 2026–27 budget process.
