HARC approves three certificates of appropriateness in June 24 meeting

The Historic and Architectural Review Commission at its June 24 meeting voted to approve three certificate-of-appropriateness applications: file 2026-070 (205 9th Street), file 2026-071 (Keegan / Minnie Lewis House), and file 2026-073 (455 North Oregon Street). Each approval adopted staff findings and included staff-recommended conditions on materials, parking/screening and construction details.
All three items were moved, seconded and carried by voice vote. Staff reports for each file established the applicable code criteria from chapters 17 and 18 of the Jacksonville Unified Development Code; in two cases staff emphasized replacement of nonperiod materials with compatible, period-appropriate materials and limiting visual impacts of modest additions. Applicants and owners agreed to the conditions listed in the staff reports.
