Commissioners approve routine contracts, appointments and proclamations

At a regular meeting the Cameron County Commissioners cleared a series of routine items by voice vote.
Items approved included a PSA renewal with Johnson Controls for fire alarm, sprinkler and suppression inspections at a cost of $988; a four-year prepaid tax collector bond premium of $4,987; and a funding support request from the North Central Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission for $2,407.82. "I need a motion to approve the PSA renewal quote for Johnson Controls in the amount of $988," the chair said; motions were made and the items were approved.
The board also appointed Josh Zuchel and retained Cliff Clark as representatives to the PA Wilds planning team and approved Jamie Gillen and Blaine Manganel for the Cameron County local emergency planning committee. Commissioners approved an updated service agreement between Cameron County Children and Youth Services and CAPSEED, Inc., described as an extension of an existing contract. Finally, the commission approved a proclamation declaring participation in Operation Greenlight for Veterans, encouraging residents to display a green light during November 2025. Each item passed following a motion, second and voice vote.
