The Chair presented an Act 13 request from the Sonoma County Volunteer Fire Department for $9,218.42 to purchase rescue equipment including a rescue stretcher, chainsaw, new pagers, radios, helmets and related gear.
"I need a motion to acknowledge receipt of the Act 13 request from the Sonoma County Volunteer Fire Department in the amount of $9,218.42," the Chair said, reading the list of items the funds would buy. Commissioners acknowledged receipt and then moved to table formal approval until the commissioners' April 2 meeting when all Act 13 requests will be considered.
The motion to table was seconded and carried by unanimous voice vote; no award or allocation was approved at this meeting. The Chair said the board would take up the request with other Act 13 applicants at the scheduled April meeting for a consolidated review and approval process.
