Chief Clerk Nat told commissioners the county applied for an election-integrity grant that would provide $15,000 to support voting equipment or staffing costs as allowed by the grant. Nat said the county also finalized a software agreement with Election Systems & Software to create media for voting machines and is scheduling testing ahead of the election.
Later in the meeting the board approved a retroactive purchase agreement with Election Systems & Software for $2,500 to add in-house media burn capability, including training. Chair said bringing the capability in-house is intended to eliminate previous delays in timely mailings; commissioners approved the retroactive purchase by voice vote.
