Commissioners approve up to $28,000 in Act 13 funds for Lumber Township road motor replacement

Commissioner (S3) moved to approve the full request and the chair proposed approving an allocation "up to $28,000 pending them sending us an actual bill," with the county to either cut a check for the billed amount or authorize reimbursement. The motion received a second and passed by voice vote. County staff noted $255,715.16 remains available in this year’s Act 13 allocation and that only $2,904.08 of the current allocation had been spent to date.
The approval is contingent on Lumber Township submitting the final invoice; if the actual cost exceeds the approved cap, the township will be responsible for the excess. The commissioners instructed staff to draft approval language that would allow payment up to the capped amount upon receipt of the final bill.
