He also asked whether the board wants the county planning department to provide contractual support to local municipalities for master-plan updates; commissioners discussed prior practice, costs, and ensuring the county does not displace private-sector planners.
Commissioners expressed support for offering planning assistance where appropriate and asked administration to propose a process and scope for aiding municipalities such as Birchville.
