Borough engineer Mike Disco told council the NJDOT municipal 25 project received a July 9 comment letter and that staff expect revised plans and specifications imminently to move toward a bid date. He said the DOT-listed grant award for the project is $249,000 and covers work on three street sections including Gallows Hill and Maple Street and a West Street block.
Disco also outlined an AARP-funded sidewalk and sign project: the borough has solicited quotes from local contractors for concrete sidewalk work and expects the AARP funds (roughly $15,000) to be forwarded in advance of construction; the borough will procure the sign separately. The engineer asked council to approve a matching resolution for the grant and said staff will return with quotes and a schedule.
