Heritage Pines CDD to investigate dead tree near Rolling Hills Loop wetland

Tom Martin, a Heritage Pines resident, asked the Board about plans for Rolling Hills Loop and reported a dead tree near his property at 18906 Rolling Hills Loop that he said has been there for two to three years and is an eyesore.
Kathleen Lonergan, Chair of the Heritage Pines Community Development District Board of Supervisors, said part of the natural wetland is being cleaned and that the District Engineer coordinated with Environmental Solutions to "clean up the perimeter as far as they can enter it; nothing larger than 5" in diameter can be removed." She said the Engineer will investigate the specific tree Mr. Martin identified and will follow up with Grounds Superintendent Tim Gatz.
The Board took no formal vote on the matter at the meeting; staff will report back after the Engineer's inspection. The discussion occurred during the public comment portion of the meeting on Feb. 18, 2025.
