The Board unanimously adopted Resolution 2025-05, approving an updated Florida Statewide Mutual Aid Agreement. Chair Kathleen Lonergan presented the resolution and District Manager Chuck Adams explained the update was presented because of recent changes to the Agreement.
Adams noted that the District is "more likely to be the recipient of aid from other governmental entities than a provider of aid," framing the update as a practical alignment with intergovernmental assistance practice. The motion to adopt was made by Supervisor Michael Walsh, seconded by Assistant Secretary Carol Vaughan, and carried with all supervisors voting in favor.
