On a motion by Supervisor Michael Walsh, seconded by Supervisor Carol Vaughan, the board voted "with all in favor" to accept the Premier Lakes proposal; the board directed staff to initiate SOLitude’s 30-day termination clause, ending SOLitude service on Nov. 30, 2024, and to have Premier Lakes commence service on Dec. 1, 2024.
Resident Susan Napolitano asked what chemical SOLitude sprays into the lakes; District Manager Chuck Adams said SOLitude uses a copper-based product aimed at algae and that any odor comes from degasification of the algae and lasts a couple of days. The board recorded the motion and gave staff direction to finalize contracting and scheduling.
