Superintendent Amy Minor explained Vermont’s Cooperative Educational Service Area (CESA) structure under H.955 and described the Chittenden Central CESA, which includes Burlington, Essex Westford, Grand Isle, South Burlington, Winooski and Colchester. Minor requested that the board appoint the Colchester superintendent or her designee to represent the district at upcoming CESA planning meetings.
Director Laurie Kigonya moved to appoint the superintendent or a designee to represent Colchester on the Chittenden Central CESA Board for the 2026-2027 school year; the motion passed unanimously. Minor said the board will receive CESA updates as a recurring agenda item next year.
