Hurley supervisor says community center will share driveway with library; easement to be drafted

The supervisor told the board that the planned Hurley Heritage Community Center will share driveway access with the adjacent library instead of constructing separate ingress and egress drives. "Instead of us putting in two different drivers, ingress and egress, we're gonna share the driveway with the library," the supervisor said, and added that the parties are negotiating an easement description and liability sharing.
Town staff said the library's lawyer is on vacation, which has delayed finalization of the easement language, and the supervisor said the town will complete a rapid easement and address matching-fund requirements once the lawyer is available. The board discussed setback limitations that affect parking expansion and noted some tree-trimming work may be required on private property to accommodate the plan.
No formal vote was recorded; staff were asked to continue negotiations and prepare the easement paperwork for future action.
