Drew previews industrial recruitment prospects for Lennox, citing manufacturers, green ammonia and data-center interest

Drew said that approach has put Lennox on several shortlists while staff continue land scouting.
Drew listed a range of possible projects, from smaller manufacturers to large power-load users that would require utility coordination. He said about 20 sites in South Dakota have been reviewed with prospects and that power capacity will be a critical factor in deciding which projects advance. "I think once that happens and especially once we can nail down, power capacity," Drew said, "I think that's gonna help, get that message a little bit better as well." The presenter emphasized that community direction and conversations will shape whether high-load projects move forward.
The meeting took no formal action on the recruitment items; after the presentation Drew asked for a motion to adjourn, which was moved, seconded and approved. The Chair then announced a joint city-school open meeting training on the calendar.
